Rains wipe out 2nd day

Dhaka, Oct 22 (bdnews24.com) ? Umpires have called off the second day's game of the first test between Bangladesh and West Indies because of soggy outfield stemmed from overnight downpour at Chittagong's Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

The start of the game was initially delayed in the morning and after a final inspection at 11 am, umpires Kumar Dharmasena and Nigel Llong said the play was impossible as the ground was saturated, with puddles in the outfield.

Bangladesh will go into day three on 255 for four in their first innings, with captain Mushfiqur Rahim unbeaten on 68.

On Sunday, the match is scheduled to resume at 9.00 am.
