West Indies took three vital wickets before lunch as Bangladesh reached 263-6 on day five of the second test on Wednesday. Bangladesh, still trailing by 245 runs, must depend on its middle and lower order batting through two sessions to avoid defeat, which looks unavoidable, at least for now.
Bangladesh was struggling from the beginning of the second innings after being set a towering 508 to beat the West Indies in the second test or more than four sessions to hold out for a draw.
Resuming at 164-3, Bangladesh lost Tamim Iqbal (83), Shakib Al Hasan (55) and Mushfiqur Rahim (69), with Darren Sammy leading the bowling attack for 2-16. Devendra Bishoo has figures of 2-82 for the innings.
