Bus kills student in Mirpur, road closed

Dhaka, Jul 8 (September) ? demonstrate students of Dhaka Commerce College of the city Mirpur-10 range road block, after a classmate was killed, struck at the intersection of a bus.

Viquarunnesa student rape trial begins

Dhaka, began June 06 (bdnews24.com)-trial of the case of a Viquarunnesa school student rape on Wednesday a special court Dhaka with the deposition of the complainant.

Father of the victim gave his testimony as a witness for complainant and persecution and later interrogated him the defenders on various points.

Panel reports to HC on student 'torture'

Dhaka, Nov 28 (bdnews24.com) ? The judicial committee to investigate the alleged police torture on Dhaka University student Abdul Kadar has found that he had been tortured in detention on false charges.

Deputy attorney general A B M Altaf Hossain presented the report to the bench of justices A H M Shamsuddin Chowdhury and Jahangir Hossain on Monday.

Law ministry joint secretary Ashish Ranjan Das, the lone member of the panel, said in the report that police had detained Kadar on suspicion, shown him arrested over false charges and tortured in custody.
